When teacher asks you to compare book and movie, he or she wants to know the similarities as well as the differences between the two. They both are different and in some way similar too. In book you just read and analyze the story and in movie every action is in front of you. You just have to watch as you do not need to analyze the movie because story along with action and mood is in front on you. For further details you can visit the following link and can easily distinguish between the movie and book.

A comparison essay is the essay in which you have to present a comparison between two topics. You have to present the similarities and differences between the two topics. You should discuss the low significant similarities or differences first, followed by more significant.

Here you have to give comparison by providing similarities and differences between movie and book. For some information about writing comparison essays, visit this link
