How Do You Convince Your Mom That You Need A Cellphone With Unlimited Texting?

As a parent and a grandparent that would be a hard sell to me.  A phone I can understand.  It is certainly handy to have in an emergency or to make sure you are available to your parents (and your friends).  Texting is another matter.  It is an added expense that is not necessary.  You can speak verbally to your friends and family.  Texting is just a fad that your Mom does see the need for.  I understand where she is coming from.   With the economy being what it is, everyone is trying to save as much as possible.  Help your Mom out with this.  Be mature enough to accept the fact that she is willing to pay for your phone bill but don't push the matter on texting.

Tell her how much extra it could cost if you went over your text limit and she will protect herself with giving you unlimited texting. Also see if you can lower some minutes to make up for the extra cost of the price for the unlimited texting.

You can tell her all th pro's about having unlimited texting. You can talk about the low price and how you can send however many texts for one price.

You could tell your mom it would help you keep in touch with her better and i have a cell phone with minutes and trust me my parents pay more for the phone cards then they would for a phone plan with unlimited texting because really he only thing a cell phone is good for is texting!

Just try to tell her that you will be very responsible with it.
