How Can I E-mail My Senator?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There is a website called www.senate.gov. On this site there is a page which offers links to the addresses, telephone numbers and homepages of every senator's office. The link page is senate.gov. Here you can scroll down a list or search for your senator's details. The link to each senator's webpage leads one to a reply or e-mail response or contact page. It is possible then to fill up an online response form and e-mail it to your senator.

It's not known how effective e-mailing to a senator is supposed to be; since it is obvious that the senator will have a staff member responsible look at your e-mail. It is probable however; that the senator will get a general feel of the mood of the public from what a sampling of people's e-mails. The websites of the senators do have options where one can choose to have a response from the senator's office. One can alternately post or fax their written concerns as well.
