Alot. If a child cannot communicate properly with others (peers) then they tend to withdraw into themselves and become shy and timid and unsure of themselves as they figure they are some kind of freak who others laugh at and pick on and dont fully understand that this isnt always their fault. Most time they wont or cant tell their parents as theyre afraid that home wont be "safe" anymore from a cruel outside world. They soon become very quiet and speak to no one and for parents this becomes a guessing game as to whats wrong with their child. Communication challenges often brings out the harsh reality of being a kid growing up in a whole new world
