          I have been a true Shakira fan for a long time. I don't like her for her seductive dancing but I admire her for her lively voice with its Spanish attitude- indeed a remarkable combination. Shakira is very well liked and known for her vocals, lyrics, music, and dance. Not because she is a belly dancing pop artist. This song remained number 1 on Latin and American Top 40 Charts. It was one of the most played songs of the year.

          Shakira was honored to get awards for 'HOT LATIN SONG OF THE YEAR, VOCAL DUET' for "HIP'S DON'T LIE" at the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2007. This pop sensation has a great poetic sense and true feminine image on the bases of her hip shaking dance moves. Shakira has always been noted for her hard line, rock-influenced approach in music. She has maintained a surprising degree of creative power over her music; she wrote or co-wrote almost all of her lyrical material.

          I know so many people hate this song and consider it a senseless stupid song but I simply LOVE it. The very start of the song is quite enough to just make me or anyone want to dance. The tunes are superb.
