Does Anyone Know Any Good Fantasy/science Fiction Books?

I am a middle school student and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good fantasy/science fiction books. I like books like Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling and Alex Rider by Anthony Horowitz. I'm on an advanced reading level for my age, so even if you want to make a recommendation that would probably be above middle school level, go ahead.

Well, some of these are science fiction and some aren't- but they're all good and they're all, like fantasy books.  I've read them and I'm also in middle school and on an advanced reading level:

    * And then there were none- Agatha Christy
    * Time for Andrew (can't remember author)
    * The Giver- Lois Lowry (haven't read yet, but have heard this is really good)
    * I'd tell you I love you, but then I'd have to kill you- Ally Carter
    * The Christmas Carol- Charles Dickens
    * The True confessions of Charlotte Doyle- Avi
    * Double Identity- Margaret Peterson Haddix
    * Among the Hidden (this is the first book in the shadow children series)- Maragaret Peterson Haddix

Hope this helped you.  Hey, if you know any good books, drop a message in my shoutbox or leave a comment here.  Thanks!

I've read the giver, I'd tell you I love you but then I'd have to kill you and Among the Hidden, And they're all good. I guess great minds think alike. Umm... You didn't specify a certain genre, so I'll give you some good fantasy/sci-fi. The Alex Rider series and the Gatekeepers series by Anthony Horowitz are both good, but I'd recommend Alex Rider first. There's a sequel (i think that's how you spell it) to I'd tell you but then I'd have to kill you, called Cross my heart and Hope to Spy. I haven't read it yet, but you recommended the first one. Artemis Fowl books by Eoin Colfer are good, and also anything else by him. Caroline B. Cooney has some good books. Tuck Everlasting is also good. The beginning is kind of slow and I almost gave it up, but I had to read it for school, and I ended up liking it after the first few chapters. If you haven't read Harry Potter, I'd recommend them. His Dark Materials series, starting with the Golden Compass. The Bartimaeus Trilogy. If you go to my Group; Artemis Fowl Fans, we talk about a bunch of good fantasy/sci-fi books, so check it out if get a chance. Thanks for the recommendations!!!!

Thanks a mil! Those are some good recommendations! I'll check out your group. Sounds good. I haven't read the Artemis Fowl stuff so maybe I'll start there. One of my friends and I are actually having a book contest to see who can read the most books by the end of May (we started in September). I'm trying to get to 100 but its very hard!! So thanks for the advice! Oops, I'm a minute late for House!
