I want to open the dvd rom part of my dvd but my pc wont do it but it will play the movie.

Most dvd and cd players have a small hole just below the dvd tray for emergency opening of this tray.You can put a needle or pin and open the tray to remove dvd.Otherwise you will have to remove your dvd rom and uncover it.
