You may use colours of your choice whether it is summer or winter season, choice is purely yours. But people prefer light colours in summer and dark colours in winter. Light colours reflect light and they are accountable for feeling cool in summer while they are also responsible for decreasing the effect of summer.

Summer colours can be different for males and females. Males use light and decent colours while females prefer to use shocking colours during summer. It is their gender requirement. It takes them proper time to select the colour of their choice but they prefer to go for cool colours in every case. It is important for them to look good in whatever colour they would use.
We may use light colours on our home walls and other décors. This will give a refreshing look. We may remove the carpets of dark colours from our floors to highlight the original light colour of floor during summer season. Hope it must be clear to you. You may learn from experience too.

The colours of summers are soft, the reason being that in summer the sun is bright and if you wear dark colours such as black, orange or such colours they'll absorb heat and would make you uncomfortable.

Therefore it is usually suggested to use soft, muted and pastel colours as they don't allow heat absorption and in the bright sun make you feel better and look good.

The colours for summers are: pale yellow, dusty pink, powder blue, lilac, mauve, apple green, pistachio, khaki and all such soft toned colours can be used in summers.

It is suggested not to wear vivid shades because in the bright sun they'll look harsh, therefore avoid using earth colours as well ass black, orange, royal blue and other such colours.

In order to be cool in summers the right shade and right colour plays an important role. Make sure you use lighter shades be it of any colour so as to enjoy and remain cool under the bright sun, use lots of greens, pinks and blues.

           Actually there is nothing called summer colours; it is a term coined by designers for describing their colour schemes for clothes and other things. But of course we cannot deny that there are some colours which look very good in summer while some others in winter or spring. Thus the colours which suit the summer season can be termed as summer colours. It is generally accepted that bright hues are more suitable for summer, pastels suit winter while a little dark shades should be kept for winter.

           Therefore it is best to use colours like yellows, purples, bright pinks and deep, bright blues during summer. Yellow, gold, white, orange, etc are colours which give a very bright and cheerful appeal during summer. Hence if you are doing anything with colours including planning your wardrobe then it is best to stick with these colours.
