Does anyone know where the nursery rhyme that sometimes was sung in school with actions orginated? I taught it my American friends daughter and she had never heard it before.

It comes from the mills in the north of England. My great grandmother's mother was a mill worker and it was passed down. The modern day lyrics are different and I am trying to find out the old lyrics but I am find it hard.
