This Question Is Answered:
What's Your Ear Advise On Bassett Hounds?
I have a 4mth old bassett who does not like his ears cleaned. So now he has a yeast infection. He's on Meds now but I plan on cleaning his ears at least 2 times a week. What is the best cleaner to use? I have heard water/vinegar, also, heard water/alcohol and water and peroxide. I used water/vinegar 2 times since we've had him but he fought me so much that I didnt stick too it. Now, he has no choice. Thanks!

I will not advise you to use any thing like vinegar or peroxide to clean ears of dogs. To clean ears of dogs do following things.
  1. Purchase ear wash for cleaning ears from the pharmacy
  2. Soak a cotton with this wash and squeeze excessive wash.
  3. Put this cotton in the dog's ear and rub gently.
  4. Let your dog to shake to remove excess moisture.
  5. Soak a cotton bud in the wash and put in to the ear like you do for yourself.
  6. Don't put the cotton bud in to the ear canal if you are not expert. Only Vit can do.
You can also visit a Vit to clean his ears.
