              The movie "Joe Kidd" is based on the interesting novel written by Louis L'Amour. This movie like other novel based movies of L'Amour belongs to the western genre. The type of the movie is revolutionist western. The theme of the movie is mysterious strangers. The director of the movie is John Sturges. The main star casts of the movie are Clint Eastwood, Robert Duvall, Stella Garcia and many more. This movie was released in the year 1992. The duration of the movie is about 87 minutes.

              In the movie, Clint Eastwood (Joe Kidd) is a stranger who comes to Simola, a town in New Mexico. Here a revolutionary named John Saxon (Luis Chama) has planned to revolt against landowners who are ill-treating the poor people. A wealthy landowner Robert Duvall (Frank Harlan) wants to revolt against Luis; he pursues Joe a lot to join them. Joe is not interested and remains neutral.

               Kidd relents when he comes to know that Luis has damaged his ranch. Five individual New Mexicans were held, one of which was Helen Sanchez (Stella Garcia). The hostages are threatened to be killed unless Luis surrenders. Joe falls in love with Stella. Harlan is furious over this and puts Joe in jail to stop him from helping New Mexicans. Joe somehow manages to escape and save the hostages. But the story becomes takes on a twist when Joe realizes Harlan is waiting for him, when he has already capture Luis and submitted him to Sheriff Mitchell.
