What Is Scene Of Wedding Favor Tradition In Pakistan?

Like the many other countries, the beautiful custom of distributing the wedding favors among guests has been following in the Pakistan for hundreds of years. As Pakistani culture is a mixture of different cultures like; some of our traditions have been migrated from Indian culture and some have come from western society too.
Pakistanis are  very rigid in following their traditions. The wedding favor custom is an old one in Pakistani culture but here the theme of this tradition is somewhat different from other cultures and societies.
There is no concept of giving the wrapped chocolates or silver spoon of kisses as wedding favors. Rather , in Pakistani culture these wedding favors consists of a small elegant fabric bags or stiff paper boxes that are filled with dry dates, candies , toffees almonds and some other dry fruits according to the choice of people.
This type of wedding favors is distributed among the guests by the groom after the program of NIKAH. These wedding favors are also given to the parents and other relatives of bride as well, from the groom.
In Pakistani culture there is no such a tradition to give these wedding favors by a bride. It is possible that in the future this tradition will change it's theme with changing life styles and trends in Pakistan.
