Where Do Igneous Rocks Form?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

They are the direct result of volcanic activity and can form both below and above surface level.   The hot molten rock trapped below ground in small pockets will cool to form igneous rock.   Similarly molten rock spewed from a volcano at the surface of the earth will cool and form igneous rock.
