Why Does My Psp Game Control Itself?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Because it's obviously been possessed by an evil video-game-playing demon. You should go to your nearest priest and have it properly blessed and purified... It will probably need to be sacrificed to the god of your preference to make sure it is received into heaven in it's purified state. You wouldn't want it to go to hell, after all, would you?

Seriously... You are asking a technical question, but are providing basically no information. How can you possibly expect anyone to be able to answer your question, when you don't tell us anything?

Be as specific as you can... When did this start? What do you mean 'control itself'? Do you turn on the game and it literally plays from level one and makes serious progress toward beating the game, or is it just making your onscreen character run in circles in a particular direction? What happened to the unit in the days before this problem occurred the first time? Is it a slim or fat psp (yes, it matters)?

I wish you the best of luck with this and any further problems you may have, and hope you are more specific in future questions...

It Is More Than Likely That Your Analog Stick Has Been Jammed In One Direction, Needs To Be Replaced, Or That Maybe Your Faceplate Isn't Sitting Flush So It Causes Your Character To Move In One Direction.

    To Fix Your PSP =

Go To Our Website And Use The Video On The Home Page For Directions On Opening Your PSP Then From There =

    1) Put The Faceplate Back On And Tighten In A Pattern Similar To Putting Bolts On A Tire To Get A Good Flush Connection. Use Extreme Caution Not To Place Force On The Flaceplate As You Can Damage Your PSP.

    2) Test Your PSP Analog Stick By Playing A Game That Requires The Use Of This Function. If You Still Have The Same Issue You Can Try Repeating Steps 1 And 2 Or Consider A Free Diagnostic (limited Time Offer) By Contacting Us. If This Doesn't Work After More Than A Few Tries Than It Is Possible That Your Analog Stick May Be Jammed Or Broken And Needs Replacing.

It is more than likely either your Analog stick or your Faceplate isn't sitting flush and is putting pressure on the Analog stick to make your character move. I can offer a free diagnosis and provide a repair service offer. If it is the Analog stick we charge only $50.00 to fix it. This price includes priority shipping, a 30 day warranty on repaired parts, and labor.
