How Can I Get A Dog From Being Scared?

First take the dog to the vet and have her checked for signs of old abuse healed breaks in the bones,deep tissue injury the vet will be able to tell you. If you find nothing wrong with her ,then you will have to work with her . Or take her to a dog trainer that works with skiddish dogs.you can do this by holding her beside you on top of a some of old newspaper or an old blanket, preferably while she is  in a harness and muzzled. Have some one else make noise and go in and out of the house and come over to you and pet the dog.  Each time you do this reinforce to the dog that nothing is going to hurt it. Talk to it, pet it , give it a treat  and have a bowl of water nearby . Because this will not work at first  and the dog will be scared and need to drink some water. Do this for a few days and then stop and see if she reacts differently when someone comes in the house. If not repeat the process. Your not trying to scare the dog with the noise but letting it know that noises are not going to hurt it. Pretty soon the dog will learn that nothing is going to hurt it while your around. Get your baby into Obedience Classes. It has a lot to do with your dogs Confidence. If you yell and shout at your dog it only makes them scared. Try to encourage your dog.
