In the aftermath of the judiciary crisis in Pakistan along with some other controversies that involve the government of Pakistan, it is not only Pakistan and its people who are getting affected in this mayhem of affairs. Rather the impact of these happenings have reached the United States where the policy-makers in Washington D.C. are drawing out their own conclusions about the situation (read crisis) prevailing in Pakistan. The crux of their conclusion however deals with the future of Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf. It is completely relevant as General Musharraf is one leader who has shown the greatest degree of eagerness in providing his aegis and support to the United States in the 'war against terrorism'. No matter how much the authorities in the United States claim that all these affairs of Pakistan are of an internal nature and the US has got nothing to do with it, the reality is something else. It is quite a convenient conclusion for anyone to shape out about the degree of leverage that the future of President Musharraf has over not only the relations between the United States and Pakistan but it also involves the United States directly.
