Renewable energy sources have the potential to provide complete security of energy supply. They are recognized as an effective way of protecting the economy against price fluctuations. Moreover, technologies based on renewable energy sources are largely pollution-free and do not contribute to the greenhouse effect. This type of energy is available in excess and is renewable.
But creating non renewable energy plants is very expensive and cannot be afforded by under developed countries.
Non renewable energy like coal, petroleum was formed millions of years ago. These energy sources take a lot of time to renew. As in today's case we are using these sources faster than it can renew. Which results in depletion of the valuable resources.
