Is It A Bad Idea To Use Outlook Express To Send And Receive E-mails?

I was told that using outlook express to send and receive e-mails was bad for computers, because even though you permanantly delete them they stay stored on your computer and eventually slow down system after it piles up to a pointwhere storage is limited.

I always use Outlook express.  I haven't heard that the emails build up after deletion.  I've used OE for years now on one computer and my computer speed is very fast.  If what you heard applies to OE then why wouldn't it apply to other email providers?

I have always used Outlook Express.  I learned to use it when I was a manager at the IRS.  That agency is so computer-oriented that if what you were told were the case, they would have used a different system.  What you described is, as far as I know, true of all computers.  When we delete something it isn't totally gone from the hard drive.  It can be recovered by someone who knows how to do it.   If you are concerned about your computer slowing down, you should clean up the disc and defrag it periodically.  You could probably delete some programs you never use.
