Do You Name The Significant Appliances And Vehicles In Your Life?

I have always named my cars, and I named my computer. Do any of you, name the significant machines, in your life?

I do. We had a 1970 Cougar, and it didn't seem to like my husband too much, it literally wouldn't start for him sometimes unless I sat in it. REALLY! We named it Freddy Cougar. Get it?

Haha. I snowboard with a group of buddies, and for some odd reason we decides to name our boards. We tried to think of more classical style women names (Betty, Irene, Lucy) I named mine Sheri. As for mechanical stuff, I have never named anything.

My mom's cars all have names with titles-
        Madame Blueberry
Mr. Humpy (after a camel when my dad was in Iraq)
        The Governor

I named my computer HAL, My car now is 'The Breeze' it is a plymouth breeze and my fave song to drive to is "They Call Me The Breeze", by Steve Miller. Before that I had 'Beverly, and before that 'The Dog'. The all time winner of the rotten car contest was a Chevy that I called 'The beast', that one you need a saddle and a whip to drive! There were Smoky, Goldy and Blueberry, and I even had one i called 'The pumpkin.' To me, they each had personalities, assets and defects that lent themselves to the names I gave them. All my mothers cars were named 'Betsy', and I remember her talking to them whenever they were running badly. I know that guys will sometimes name a car if they really love it. Keep the names and examples coming.

We had a little car we inherited from my husband's mother; it's name was Chugga. It took some work to get it running. We finally donated it to a boys home where they work on cars and sell them. My husband's first car was named Betsy, it was a Dodge Dart. When Cliff and I just got married the car dealer had a real sense of humor. We bought a Honda Civic back in 1977. The license plate read IUD.
