Windows, since Windows 2000, automatically formats the hard drive from the CD. Simply install the CD at turn on and let POST run. At the end you will be asked to Click on Any Key to Boot from Disk.... Hit the space bar and follow the prompts. In an hour you will have Windows XP installed on your computer on a completely formatted hard drive. I must warn you,however, if you have anything on that drive that you want, back it up first and install XP from the existing operating system, otherwise you WILL lose all information on the drive, as you would in any reformat process.
