Is Windows 7 Better Then Windows Xp And Vista?

Answer Question

Depends on your version of better. Most folks who have tried it say yes on both accounts. If you are upgrading/updating from an XP system, be prepared as you will need better hardware to run W7 than was required for XP. But W7 does scale better, has better bells and whistles, and will be supported for some time to come by MS. At this point, W7 is looking at a full scale public release come late October/early November. If you are going to build a new system, it may be worth waiting for W7.

I am presently running Vista SP2. Vista has gotten consistently better with each service pack. It runs almost every legacy piece of software I have and drivers are no longer an issue as they were in mid 2007.

People have short memories, XP went through a lot of the same driver and software issues as Vista is doing today. All these things get better over time. Windows 7 by nearly all accounts, is the best OS Microsoft has put out to date.
