Can An Electric Furnace Sit On The Floor?
My furnace is sitting on the floor in a closet just for the furnace. Is this ok or does it need to be lifted up off the floor. If so, how far?

Yes it can sit on the floor specially when there is no other suitable place. Otherwise the furnace register shall be located not less than 12 inches from the doors. And the burner assembly shall not project into an occupied under floor area.
