My Cat Has What The Vet Called Boxer Ears, What Could It Be?

Does anyone know what that is? He said cosmetic surgery would fix, however the cat is older and I do not want to put him though it. Plus he is a bit of stinker, the last time he needed an IV he pulled it out.

Boxer ears (or cauliflower ear) it is generally just from repetitive trauma and it has thickened the tissue on the ear. If it is purely cosmetic, just tell your veterinarian you do not want the surgery.

Sarahik1022-thank you for the information, it was helpful. However, I am not sure how he injured his ears to that extent.
