               In UK, ethnicity has an age-old history. The population of UK is quite diverse and vibrant. Apart from the British, there are many people from India, Pakistan, etc in UK. Ethnicity of UK is based on the following conditions, population size, geographical distribution, age distribution and households.

               The 2001 Census has shown that UK consists of following diverse people from White and Black Caribbean, White and Black African, White and Asian and other mixed backgrounds. Indians are the largest minority sect followed by Pakistanis; other mixed ethnic groups, Black Caribbean, Black Africans, Bangladeshis. The ethnic minority is mainly concentrated in London and then it is followed by West Midlands, South East, North West and Yorkshire and the Humber. The UK's ethnic sects have a much younger age makeup compared to the white population.
