    It is basically a fictionalized book about the changing and transformation of Rhodesia into the Zimbabwe in which a person sets a new country.

    I think "Men of Men" might have been loosely based on some antics of Hugh Cowan (born McCowan in Scotland) who made a large fortune in diamonds in the Kimberley area. He returned to Scotland and built a large home called Kimberley house.
