Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

As the availability of natural resources for long time is a matter of concern for the think tanks the world over, recycling of used products is becoming a subject of prime importance for all the governments. Recycling not only provides the resources for a product to be made but also saves the environment from further depletion.

The segregation of wastes of different types is very important and takes a lot of energy from the authorities. They mostly segregate the waste in four different types; papers, plastic, metals and glasses.
Paper is the most commonly recycled material, but the problem with this is that you can't recycle it forever. Every time you recycle it the fiber strength of the paper get reduced and it can be recycled only for six times.

Glass and metals are considered to be the best for recycling as they can be recycled indefinitely without affecting the quality. Glass is required to crushed and melted in a furnace to get recycled. Metal is widely recycled because it provides better economic value.

Recycling of plastic is the most arduous one and requires a lot of manual sorting. Plastic is recycled by melting and being molded into new shape or by broken into its chemical components and then being developed into a new product.
