How Many Games Did Peter Beardsley Play For Liverpool FC?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Born in the North East of England in nineteen sixty one, Peter Beardsley first played pro football for Carlisle United, joining England's most Notherly club in nineteen seventy nine, where he remained for three seasons.

A trial at Manchester United sandwiched two brief stints at Vancouver whitecaps Before Beardsley managed to secure a dream move to his boyhood heroes Newcastle United in nineteen eighty three.

Four years and one hundred and forty seven games for the Magpies later, he moved to Anfield in eighty seven to join another recent Anfield arrival and England team mate John Barnes.

Peter Beardsley took a while to get going as a Liverpool player, and while his talent was never in question, many people wandered if he had warranted the huge fee Kenny Dalglish had payed to secure his services.

He eventually came good and played one hundred and thirty one games for Liverpool, scoring forty six goals.

Thanks for the corrections. The statistical data was from Wikipedia, which I always refer to cross-check on information - http://72.14.235.104/search?q=cache:D_R0-qroIqcJ:en.wikipedia.org/wiki

d=4&gl=in - this is the link for the Man U bit and the number of goals for Liverpool. I just wanted to let you know that I was not just shooting off wrong information. It so happened that a reliable source of information had some incorrect data.

Your facts and figures are incorrect. First class matches are the only ones that count.
