Why Was There A Next Generation 'Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone' For The GameCube?

Answer Question

The reason why the game was released later for the GameCube was because when the game was first released in 2001, the GameCube hadn't been released. It was released for GameCube in 2004 and had a similar look to the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets game which was released in 2002. The game differed greatly to the PlayStation version, which had a lot more tasks to complete and a different voice for Harry (PlayStation's version had voice actors that were more similar to the actors in the film). The two versions also had a completely different design for Hogwarts. Stephen Fry, who narrates the audio versions of the books, provided the narration for both versions of the game.

Gamecube's version had better graphics, with shadows and detail on faces, but the PlayStation version had more variety and was a little more difficult to complete, resulting in longer lasting gameplay.
