Basically a system architecture defines the behavior of a system. It gives a textual design of the system. There are different ways through which the companies define it. According to TOGAF, it is a formal description of a system. This description gives the reasoning for the structural properties of the system. In other words, a system architecture describes the building blocks of a system. In this way, companies are enabled to manage their work, as well investments plans according to business needs. It gives an interface between the system and its external environment or users of the system.
