What Is Internet Explorer (IE)?

Microsoft is a very popular web browser. A web browser is a software that is used to view web pages. It acts as an interface between the user and the internet. It can display the text and graphics. Browsers can also known as web clients or universal clients.
      
Microsoft internet explorer is a part of Ms Windows 98/2000/Me.Internet Explorer toolbar consist of Back Button, Forward Button, Stop Button, Refresh Button, Home Button, Favorite Buttons, History Button, Mail Button, Print Button, Edit Button. And also contains address Bar. Address Bar displays the programs of the browser while It downloads files.

Software that is used for exploring internet is known as browser. Internet Explorer (IE) is Microsoft browser used for browsing on internet or you can say used for exploring internet. It is one of the oldest browsers and when I started using computer then i was unaware about other browsers.

I think it was the only browser for windows at that time that's why it is one of the most popular browsers and millions of users all over the world use it.There is a very tight competition between Internet Explorer and Firefox. Before Firefox, many browsers were released but no one succeed to get popularity. Internet explorer is also one of the fastest browsers and its latest version 6.0 is able to block pop-up windows.

Every latest version comes with some special features as you can see windows service pack 2 contains some important features for internet explorer. Latest version of IE is also able to open multiple instances of explorer in one window. Many other features are included in internet explorer 6.0 including ability of blocking pop-up windows. This feature was first seen in Firefox but now it is also included in many other browsers.
