How Big Is My Baby After 33 Weeks Pregnancy?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

All I know is I'm 33 weeks right now and I feel like a blimp. My little mans feet are directly in my rib cage and kicking...gotta love it haha. I just got some 4d ultrasounds done and was told my baby is 5 lbs already at least...hes suchhhh a chubba and you could so see it in the ultrasounds - which is funny because I've only gained about 15 lbs throughout my entire pregnancy!! (thank god!! Hah) but don't worry, as long as your doctor is telling you everything is going good then who cares how big he/she is?? Just as long as the baby is happy and healthy =]

Thirty-three weeks is equal to almost eight months. The baby is quite big at that time and cannot grow any further. The baby in the tummy has reached its maximum size and is about to come out in approximately three to four weeks time. It looks like the woman has swallowed a full size basketball. It is very important to take care of yourself at this point of time. There is a huge possibility that you might have a baby at any time. It is advisable to explain your family that they take immense care of you and support you and provide you with each and every thing that you need.

It is also very important to get yourself admitted to the hospital if the situation worsens for you. It is recommended to get into a hospital a few days before the due date. It is also very important to stay in constant touch with your doctor at all times.

Your baby at 33 weeks is absolutely still growing! These next few weeks your baby grows the most. I'm not sure why supershalz said your child cant grow any further, that is far from the truth!! Especially if you have gestational diabetes! For "normal" pregnancies your child can gain almost a pound a week. Women with gestational diabetes - if untreated, their babies can gain much more! At 33 weeks your baby should be around 5lbs (some are smaller some are bigger). They are fattening up for birth

This information is actually incorrect and should be removed. Babies grow significantly after 33 weeks and the mother is no more or less "fragile" than any other time in pregnancy (but probably quite uncomfortable at this stage). Also, first time mothers generally go OVER their due date, not give birth at 37 weeks as supershalz suggested, and hospitals will not admit before labour actually starts unless complications. Please check your facts before answering questions.
