This is a common question asked by some almost every new passionate website owner, just a few days ago my day also were also mean to be gone by finding for a way.
Now, i'm not finding for one, people say about many things like: Advertise, add to some blog directories and all that Blah! Blah!
What i see which is important is that the author is really serious, you have to write time to time, be Original! If you're following them, then try some professional stuff like a redesign to your website(you know there're lots of free stuff out there, devote your time finding it), tweet about it(but not tooo! Much, I hate "Spam"), Stumbleupon is good, try digg, and yeah! The more open you'll be with your mind, give versatility to the reader the more you'll get noticed.
And Aha! Patience! It's important, very very important.
