Haha couldn't answer this for sure, but i take doxycycline and drink beer all the time. I haven't had any weird side effects, and the beer doesn't affect the effectiveness of the antibiotic at all.

They don't recommend alcohol with any drugs but it is not going to do anything to prevent the doxycycline from doing its job. Docy is a antibiotic and it could cause stomach upset so with the beer you could have a upset stomach but that is about the worse thing that could happen.
