What Is An Artist Portfolio?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

An artist portfolio is basically a body of work produced by an artist which is kept in a folder.

A portfolio is usually presented to a publisher, art agent, or another potential client and usually gives a strong sense of the artist's style.

The Association of Illustrators (AOI) provides portfolio consultations, where the artist is advised what to include in his or her portfolio.

There are many art websites nowadays which allow artists to create an online portfolio, which involves the artist uploading their work to the site and placing it in a gallery. Visitors can then click on any of the thumbnails in the portfolio to view a larger version of the image.
