What Is Space Tourism?

Everyone longs to travel into space. What it is like to walk on the moon. But it takes only a few to get qualified to go. The majority of us are not equipped  or cut out to be an astronaut. So, those dreams would remain a dream.

But do not despair it is possible for the ordinary individual like you and me to get to travel to space. Space tourism is slowly evolving into a viable commercial entity. The first private citizen to travel was Dennis Tito of the United States who shelled out a cool 14 million pounds to become the first space tourist in 2001. Estimates by the Space Tourism Study Program of the Japanese Rocket Society, the price could go as low as one million yen or roughly equal to $10,000 in the next 10 to 20 years for an expected turn of one million passengers every year.


Space tourism is the term used wherein the ordinary individual can go travel into space and come back after paying the required amount of cash.
