Nine different venues have been used to stage the FA cup, the first venue to be used was the Kennington Oval, which staged the first ever FA cup final in 1872.  The Wanderers beat the Royal Engineers one nil, to be crowned the first ever winners of the trophy.

For the second final the match was played at Lillie Bridge, London, were the Wanderers won again to retain the trophy.

In 1874 the final was reverted back to the Kennington Oval were it stayed until 1892.  It was then played as a one off at Fallowfield Manchester in 1893 and then played at Goodison Park, Liverpool in 1894.

For the ninety five final the Crystal Palace became the venue, where it remained until 1914. It was then played again in Manchester, this time at Old trafford, before it returned to London in 1920 after a war time gap of five years.

Stamford bridge, the home of Chelsea, staged the final for three years in the early 20s before the FA cup finally found its home at Wembley for the 1923 final.

It remained at Wembley until the year 2000 when reconstruction work meant the final was moved to Cardiff and the Millennium stadium.  The FA cup is due to return back to Wembley for the 2007 final.
