    Light weights more reps are for endurance, tone and to aid fat burn/loss
    heavy weights less reps are for hypertrophy(muscle definition), strength, muscle size
    so depending on what your goals are, but for best results all round you need to work the muscle to overload, meaning to you feel a slight burn near the end of each set.
