Is It Cruel To Put A Little Hot Sauce On My Dogs Tongue To Help Her Come To Me When She Doesn't? I Did It Once It Seemed To Work. Just Wondered If It Is Abusive?

I think maybe riverrat was a little harsh, but why on earth would you think giving her a nasty taste is going to make her want to come to you? I certainly would not if you did that to me!
Never punish your dog for approaching you - however long it took, always act happy when they have (at last) done what you want.
Walk her on an extending lead so that you can control her wandering, calling her to you for something NICE from time to time. If she does not respond, just reel in the lead and give her the treat.
Keep doing this until she is more reliable.

Yes it is cruel, shame on you have you no common sense you wouldn`t do it to a baby or a person. If you really love the dog do not do that or anything else like it, if your not willing to do this give it away or send it to the shelter anything is better than torturing it

I don't think its abusive. If you can easily have that hot sauce, and it is not too hot for you, then it wont hurt your dog. But if you think that tasting that sauce hurts you, then don't inflict it on her as well.
