Get your web site noticed by printing the web address (URL) on every piece of paper you print. And don't forget things like fax header sheets and answer machine messages.

But one of the most effective ~ and cheapest ~ methods of pulling in web site traffic is to simply talk about it to new and existing customers, suppliers and trading partners. Ask them to take a look and come back to you with feedback. After all, word of mouth remains one of the most powerful promotional tools there is. You may wish to take a less casual approach, though, and create a group of trusted customers and trading partners to act as web site testers to evaluate your site prior to launching.
