There are so many books on acting that you should not buy
These are the only books that I would definitely buy:
Books
Most other books are written by charlatans and are the biggest load of nonsense. One can see the popularity, they are nearly as bad as online acting classes, people want to be able to act well, so they will do almost anything to get lessons that will mean something to them, they just perpetuate nonsense myths about the craft of acting until it becomes pure fantasy.
Books that suggest that acting is easy should be scrapped, books with titles with the word 'character' in them are essentially fantastic make believe books, read them if you want to be a writer who creates characters or if you have so much free time and money that you can waste your life reading them.
