    Dear Mr President,

    We are a mortgage company we have made some really, really bad investment decisions, and and spent all our investor's money, can the taxpayer to bail us out again to the tune of another $30 billion (in small low-denomination used bills) please?

      We get it now. How do you write a hardship letter to the mortgage company. It would never matter how you wrote it. Best bet..find out which bank holds the mortgage and try to negotiate with them.
