    Kikuyu's are one of the major and historic tribes of the modern day Kenya. They live in the central highlands of Kenya and dominate the political and commercial scene. In addition to the normal holiday for New year, Good Friday, Easter, labor day, Christmas day and boxing day, Kikuyu people have traditional holidays such as Madaraka Day on June 1, Moi day on October 10, Kenyatta day on October 20 as well as Independence day on December 12.
