How Can You Tell If Your Broker Is Ripping You Off Owner Operator?

Have started my own trucking and have a broker that i think is ripping me off. Like saying he will pay toll and then not coming through and not getting loads back and having to sit for days waiting for his call,and how do i find out how much a broker pays and what is my cut?

    It's time to switch your broker. Contracts between you and your broker are dependent on how well you have negotiated with him. While I don't deal with the trucking business, I too use a broker in my business. I have negotiated a flat rate with him. If he cannot generate a certain amount of revenue for you, tell him to take a walk. Check out his references and talk to other brokers around. The trucking industry is a very dynamic industry and it would be a shame if you have made investments in it only to be ripped off by this guy. Ask him for receipts for everything - Accounting 101.
