My 1994 Jeep Cherokee Does Turn On For A Little While And Then Cuts Off What Is It?

What is wrong with my jeep cherokee 1994 it will cut on for a while and cut off and you have to wait a while before you cut it back on

If it is not a sensor which is most peoples worst fear. It could really be a clogged fuel filter. Especially after a fall-winter season.
