Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Plot the first equation. It has a y-intercept of +6, and a slope of -3, meaning that y will go down to 3 when x goes up to 1. Draw a line through the two points (0, 6) and (1, 3). [Blue line in picture.]

Plot the second equation. It has a y-intercept of -4 and a slope of +2, meaning that y will go up to -2 when x goes up to 1. Draw a line through the two points (0, -4) and (1, -2). [Red line in picture.]

These two lines will intersect at (2, 0).
