(1/4)(3x - 2) - (5/4)(2x - 6) What Are The Steps To Calculate This Problem?

Answer Question

    (1/4)(3x -2) - (5/4)(2x -6)

I would factor out 1/4 so it doesn't get in the way of other simplification steps.
      = (1/4)[3x -2 -5(2x -6)] = (1/4)(3x -2 -10x +30)
      = (1/4)(-7x +28) = (-7/4)x + 7

In some cases, it may be useful to factor 7 out of the expression
      = 7(-x/4 + 1)
