    Hugh Grant was born September 9, 1960 in London, England to proud parents James Grant and Finvola Grant.  He spent his childhood, with his parents and brother, in London and surrounding areas and, in 1979, after graduating from London's Latymer Upper School and winning a scholarship, Grant left for the beautiful town of Oxford to attend New College, one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford.  Grant, with dreams of becoming an art historian dived into his studies but after trying his hand at drama he realized what his calling as an actor. While still at university Grant landed his first role in a film in 1982, financed by Oxford, 'Privileged'. Grant graduated from Oxford with a Degree in English but joined a comedy review called The Jockeys of Norfolk and continued acting.  Grant made a name for himself after starring in 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' in 1994 and continues to thrill moviegoers today.
