Barcelona can boast of having many nice beaches as the administration is taking good care of the cleanliness; not only of the beaches but the sea also. The beaches have disabled access, sun beds, showers and lifeguards. Nova Icaria, Bogatall, Mar bella and Barceloneta are the four famous beaches of Barcelona.
Nova Icaria is quite close to Olympic Marina and is always crowded. There are beach bars and two quite popular restaurants which are situated on the promenade behind.
Bogatall is almost double the length of Nova Icaria and covered with stones, which makes for rollerblading and cycling it is also great for joggers. However there are no bars, only three large informal restaurants on the promenade decorate the beach.
