You can get whats called icing gel colors
they are available at any craft store such as michaels or jo anne fabrics or hobby lobby
you take a toothpick and dip it in the gel, then scrape it on the fondant
then knead the fondant until the color spreads and you get the color you want
you can add more or less fondant for a darker or lighter color
