This Question Is Answered:
Can You Give A Dog With A Puncture Wound Aspirin?
My dog has a puncture wound on her leg and the vets office is closed, I am going to take her up there tomorrow. However right now I would like to know if I can give her some aspirin or something for pain? She is an Australian shepherd/husky mix. She ways about 65 to 70 pounds and is 3 years old. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you, Shaun

Do not give aspirin where there is a wound, as even if it is not poisonous to your dog, it is an anti-coagulant that will increase bleeding. Wash the wound with salty water, and apply a bandage ( not too tight) if she will tolerate one.
